Yeah, I mean…it’s always a tough thing, because you don’t really know how they’re going to react, but to be honest with ya, it’s such a tough thing to meet someone who’s going through a tough time like that…but to see the smiles on their face- it’s amazing. It really puts things in perspective for you- all your problems are so little, and they’re able to smile and be happy through everything that they’re going through. It’s a pretty amazing thing.

Gabriel Landeskog on becoming captain of the Avs - It’s something you dream about as a kid. Just being a part of an organization like the Avs and getting to put the honor of the C on, with the history that this club has with Joe Sakic, Adam Foote and obviously Milan Hejduk, it’s a pretty humbling experience. I’m really excited and looking forward to the challenge. I didn’t expect this at all, especially not this early in my career, but at the same time I feel like I’m ready for it and the organization feels like I’m ready for it. I’m excited.
